William Warner

Obituary of William Warner

William (Bill) Warner, 72, passed away suddenly at his home in Seminole, FL on April 9, 2024 after a short battle with cancer.

Born and raised in the Utica, NY area, Bill was a 1970 graduate of Whitesboro Central Schools and a 1974 graduate of Utica College of Syracuse University.  His happiest days were spent living in Baldwinsville, NY, where he worked as an environmental engineer for Anheuser-Busch Inc.  After retirement, Bill split his time between his summer home in Manchester, NH and his winter home in Seminole.  Bill was an avid outdoorsman, who loved to fish, hunt, and camp, making several chartered fishing trips to Montana, Alaska, and other destinations out west.  He also found joy in working with wood, building many pieces of furniture for family and friends. Bill gave back to his communities by volunteering for causes that were close to his heart, such as Meals on Wheels, St. Jerome Church, and various emergency medical organizations.  Family was also very important to Bill, and treasured memories include family vacations to the 1000 Islands area in New York and Sandbridge Island in Virginia Beach.

Bill was preceded in death by his parents, Edwin G. and Mary Warner of Whitesboro, NY.  He is survived by his loving wife Gail;  his children Ray (Elizabeth) Warner of Bethel Park, PA, Beth (Kyle) Burton of Manchester, NH, Bill (Emily) Warner of Asheville, NC, and Patrick (Julie) Warner of Liverpool, NY;  Grandchildren Lizz, Alex, Dawn, Warner, Ada, and Zoey;  brother Ed (Lynne) Warner of Clinton, NY,  sisters Lolly Warner and Alice Wright of Westmoreland, NY, and a very large extended family.

The family has chosen to make private arrangements, with a Celebration of Life to come later.  Memorial donations may be made to a cause close to your heart in his name.
