Obituary of Harry Arthur Newell

Newell, Harry, 65, of Seminole, FL passed away March 18, 2024 in his home in Seminole. Born in Waterbury, CT, he moved to St. Petersburg, FL as a child. He graduated from St. Petersburg High School in 1976, where he played the triple drum in the varsity band. He began his career in Security Operations in the US Air Force, and spent his life in the field he loved, eventually opening his own private security and investigations firm. He was a proud member of Crossroads Church and the American Legion, and gave his time to outreach through the church, providing goods and services for the homeless. He was a devoted student and instructor of martial arts, including Aikido, Torasamado Karate, and Tai Chi. He was preceded in death by his parents Hazel Delores Grant and Clive Percy Newell Sr., and his siblings Amy Marie Newell and Michael Grant Newell. Harry is survived by his children Pamela Zaccari and Sarah Mathis; his brothers Clive, Andrew, and Mark Newell; and grandchildren Anna, Jude, Nova, Luca, Catelyn, and Giuliana.
